IJCLab visits Chooz and the LNCA

About ten members of IJCLab visited the site of the Chooz power plant October 7, at the invitation of EDF, located near the Laboratory National Champagne-Ardenne led by Anatael Cabrera (Equipe Neutrinos, PHE pole). The LNCA was used in the Double experiment Chooz to study the mixing of neutrinos (more particularly angle q13), taking advantage of the neutrino flux produced by the nuclear power station nearby. A meeting brought together representatives of EDF, members of IJCLab and Subatech Nantes for study the site's potential for new experiences, in particular by relying on the LiquidO technology currently in development. It was followed by a visit to the old power plant Chooz-A being dismantled.
