IJCLab, through the ALTO team and the STIRI, was present at the RADECS (RADiation Effects on Electronics and Components Systems) workshop held in Maspalomas in the Canary Islands from 16 to 20 September 2024.
Every year, this conference brings together hundreds of scientific and engineer experts and companies from all over the world to discuss the latest advances ans results in the field of radiation effects on components and materials.
The ALTO platform presented the SPACE ALTO project and the various particle beams available for irradiation tests (protons, neutrons, ions, electrons).
This was an opportunity to discuss with the hardened electronic components companies, to gather their needs in ionisation beams in order to meet them in the future.
Discussions with CNES (Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales) and ESA (European Space Agency) were particularly interesting with a view to collaboration on specific beam dosimetry methods for space and military applications.
