DATAIA Paris-Saclay, a new institute in data sciences, artificial intelligence and society

David Rousseau (PHE Pole, ATLAS Team) has just been appointed to the DATAIA Paris-Saclay office. The DATAIA Institute is the French convergence institute specializing in data science, artificial intelligence and society. Selected by the National Research Agency (ANR) within the framework of the “Investments for the Future” programs, the DATAIA Institute's vocation is to bring together and structure large-scale multidisciplinary expertise with high visibility for better respond to major challenges in data sciences, artificial intelligence and their applications thanks to the decompartmentalization between mathematics, computer sciences and legal, economic and social sciences. This institute, which mobilizes more than 130 researchers and teacher-researchers, is supported by the University of Paris-Saclay and managed by the Inria Saclay-Île-de-France research center. The consortium brings together Universities, national research institutes and Grandes Ecoles. An industrial affiliation program has been launched to allow close collaboration between academics and businesses.
