IJCLab management invited to GANIL

Part of the management of IJCLab was invited on October 12 by the management of GANIL following the creation of our laboratory. The Large National Heavy Ion Accelerator, installed in Caen, is a Very Large Research Infrastructure (TGIR) for research with ion beams at the service of an international scientific community: physics of the nucleus, the atom, condensed matter, astrophysics, radiobiology… This day included a visit to current scientific and technical installations, including AGATA and SPIRAL2 to which IJCLab teams have greatly contributed. It was also the occasion for a first overview of the shared interests of IJCLab and GANIL. This visit will soon be followed by meetings more broadly involving the agents of the two units to study common projects and synergies between the two structures.
