The ECFA (European Committee for the Future of Accelerators) is based at CERN. This committee aims to plan in the long term European facilities for research in high energy physics (accelerators, large-scale installations and equipment), to help maintain the balance between the roles of international and national laboratories and university institutes in this research, to provide adequate conditions for research and a fair and equitable sharing of facilities among all physicists. Issue 8 of the ECFA Newsletter "Winter 2021", published after the plenary meeting at CERN from 18 to 29 November 2021, contains an overview of IJCLab.
