On 25 February, scientists from the ProtoDUNE collaboration at CERN measured tracks with a drift of 6 meters for the first time in a liquid argon time projection chamber. This world record for this type of detector is due to the installation of a new 300 kV high voltage system. The Neutrinos team of the PHE Pole and the Mechanical Department of the Engineering Pole are important players in the development of the "Vertical Drift" technology for ProtoDUNE, in conjunction with APC, IP2I, LAPP and LPSC. This technology will be used in the second far detector of the international experiment DUNE (Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment) which should start around 2027 in the United States based on the developments of ProtoDUNE.
