The “Atacama Cosmology Telescope” (ACT) collaboration, in which the CMB team of the A2C Cluster participates, reveals the most detailed map ever produced of the distribution of dark matter in the Universe. This groundbreaking image, made with observations from the ACT telescope in Chile, supports Einstein's theory of general relativity, which has been the basis of the Standard Model of cosmology for more than a century. It also opens new perspectives for our understanding of the evolution of structures in the Universe. A booming field in which IN2P3 is heavily involved with projects such as Vera-C. Rubin, Euclid or even CMB-S4.
