Andromède at IJCLab helps the STELLA experiment to study carbon fusion in massive stars

To calculate more reliable stellar evolution scenarios, astrophysicists need to know as precisely as possible the rate of carbon fusion. Nuclear physicists who reproduce stellar energy conditions in the laboratory, through collisions between a particle beam and a target, are able to provide direct measurements of carbon fusion rates...

The latest results from the Double-Chooz experiment contributes to our understanding of neutrinos

Since the shutdown of its detectors in early 2018, the international Double-Chooz collaboration has continued to analyze its data in order to constrain the θ13 angle as much as possible. Its value characterizes the least known mode of oscillation of neutrinos on which subsequent research on the asymmetry between neutrinos and antineutrinos hinges.

ALTO has gained a new connection wtih 10 Gb/s !

Some of the large-scale experiments at ALTO require the acquisition of large volumes of data. In preparation for the Nu-Ball experiment, it was necessary to resolve the problem of transferring large amounts of data via the internet, from one of the ALTO experiment rooms to VirtualData.
